The Ultimate Baffles

My Nomad came with the Vance and Hines Dually exhaust. Although they looked awesome, I was not satisfied with their sound. To me they sounded tinny and not very loud, and I wanted a low thudding sound. I did some research online, trying to figure out if others had the same complaint, and, to my surprise, there were several forum threads started for this specific reason. A machinist on the forum shared his design with me, and after contacting my cousin who is a machinist, we tackled the project. They turned out great and the exhaust sound is incredible. I get compliments everywhere I go about the sound of my bike.

  1. Would your cousin be willing to make another pair?

  2. Jared,
Would like to try a pair of these on my Nomad V/H. You have a extra pair laying around? Also I assume the 2 side bolts are to secure it but what is the 1/4 inch pin do that spans the I.D.? It may make sense if I take it apart. Also is that all there is to it or is there some fiberglass wrap? Thanks and enjoy your site. Ken

  3. Ken & Glen,

Unfortunately these took way too long to make to try it again. But, my good friend Joe Norris from ChucksterCustoms makes them. He doesn't have them listed on his site, but if you send him an email he should be able to help you out.

Tell him Jared "Utah Motorcyclist" referred you.
